Take and trip back in time to the 1940s
For one weekend in August every year, RAF Upwood is transported back in time to the 1940s. Visitors can experience the sights, the sounds and the style that set the era apart. Entertainment is always close at hand, with the weekend seeing aerial displays, living history groups, dance displays, historical exhibitions, fashion shows and musical entertainment. The Ramsey event features an extensive retail village with, loads of stalls and sellers offering their wares. Whether you're look for authentic clothing, medals and equipment, or CDs and paintings with a 1940s flavour, you're sure to find something interesting at Ramsey. And, if you're feeling peckish or thirsty there are plenty of places to pick up something to eat - whether you're just in the market for a hot doughnut or ice cream, or you're after something a little more substantial like a hog roast. Also, don't forget that the bar inside the hangar is fully licenced, just make sure you bring a designated driver, because there's sure to be plenty of ales to sample!
